은행 카드 이용 중 겪은 문제점에 대해 이야기해 주세요.
요즘은 인터넷 뱅킹과 모바일 뱅킹 등으로 인해 은행 서비스를 사용하는 것이 편리해졌다. 하지만 나는 신용카드와 체크카드를 사용하면서 여러 번 문제를 겪었다. 한번은 음식점에서 신용카드가 거부되었다. 알고 보니 신용카드 한도를 초과했던 것이었다. 내가 들고있던 현금이 부족해서 식비를 각자 내야 했다. 또 한번은 체크카드가 거부되었다. 계좌에 잔고가 없었기 때문이었다. 지난주에는 마그네틱 띠가 손상돼서 신용카드를 사용할 수 없었다. 재발급을 받아야 했다. 마지막으로 신용카드를 잃어버린 적도 있었다.

Using bank services these days is very convenient, thanks to online banking and mobile banking. However, I have had several problems with my credit card and debit card. One time,  my credit card was rejected at a restaurant. I found out that I had maxed out my credit card. I didn't have enough cash, so we had to split the buill. Another time, my debit card was rejected. It was because I didn't have any money in my account. Last week, I couldn't use my credit card because the magnetic strip was damaged. I had to get it reissued. Finally, there was a time when I lost my credit card. I had to put my card on hold.

1. be rejected 거절당하다, 거부되다
My credit card was rejected.
신용카드가 거부당했다.
My idea was rejected by him.
그거 내 제안을 거절했다,

안타깝게도 너의 요청이 거절당했어.

2. max out one's credit card 신용카드 한도를 초과하다
I had maxed out my credit card.
신용카드 한도를 초과했던 것이었다.
I shopped too much and maxed out my credit card.
나는 쇼핑을 너무 많이 해서 신용카드 한도를 초과했다.
You will max out your credit card if you are not careful.
조심하지 않으면 신용카드 한도를 초과하게 될 거야.

3. split the bill 비용을 각자 지불하다
We had to split the bill.
우리는 비용을 각자 지불해야 했다.
Do you split the bill on a first date?
첫 데이트 때 비용을 각자 지불하나요?
Instead of splitting the bill, can you buy me coffee?
각자 계산하는 대신에 네가 커피를 사 줄래?

4. put one's card on hold 카드를 정지시키다
I had to put my card on hold.
나는  카드를 정지시켜야 한다.
You should put your card on hold if you lose your wallet.
지갑을 잃어버리면 카드를 정지시켜야 한다.
I can't pay because I put my card on hold.
내 카드를 정지시켜서 계산을 할 수 없어.

5. get something reissued ~을 재발급받다
I had to get my card reissued.
카드를 재발급받아야 했다.
I went to get my passport reissued.
나는 여권을 재발급받으러 갔다.
Have you ever gotten your driver's license reissued?
운전 면허증을 재발급받은 적이 있습니까?



What a pain. 정말 귀찮겠다.
